Cynthia L. Houston, Associate Advisory Board Member 
Environment and Community Outreach

Ms. Houston advises the D’Arcinoff Group on environmental and community outreach issues. She is a versatile and proven strategic communications and public participation director with fifteen years program management experience. She specializes in the Energy and Environment arena, and has extensive experience leading Federal Agency environmental outreach requirements and initiatives, with an emphasis on community and grassroots engagement.

Ms. Houston holds a Masters of Science in Environmental Science and Policy from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Economy from the University of California, Berkeley. She has received certifications in Public Participation from the International Association of Public Participation, and  in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution from the U.S. Institute of Peace. She also holds a certificate in Advanced Risk Communication from the U.S. Army’s Center for Health Promotion and Preventive Medicine.
